Pentecost, Passion and One Life to Live

In the days leading up to Pentecost Sunday (May 23 this year) and then on Pentecost Sunday itself, the Holy Spirit was moving in amazing ways!
  • At a Life Group meeting in Bicutan, just as I finished reading portions of Acts chapter 1, the electricity went out. It was HOT... No fan and no windows and of course no light. You could not see your hand if you put it in front of your face. We went to prayer and every single person except one received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit within minutes. It was a life changing evening for all of us as we were washed with power. I'm sure the one will get her free gift from the Lord soon as well. Awesome!
  • At an all night prayer meeting at a different Church on a Friday night, after preaching my 2nd sermon for the night and at around 11pm, we went to Holy Spirit ministry time and it was like a bomb went off in the place. People were slain, dancing in the Spirit (the kind that they don't have their eyes open and is completely non choreographed), jumping, shouting praises, on their faces, weeping, laughing, crying out... Amazing! People were saved, delivered, set free, and most importantly empowered through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit to be witnesses to this generation! We departed for home at 1:40am and I was literally afraid to drive thinking I might get pulled over for drunk driving. (you know, because the same thing had happened to me and to many the same way as on the day of Pentecost where they seemed drunk though they were not drunk with wine...) It was great!
  • Then at our main service at Cinema 2, Gateway Mall Cuboa at 11am on Sunday, we had an amazing service. The Praise and Worship was magnificent (God was magnified), the message penetrated hearts and the presence of God was so real that the air we were breathing seemed as if it was the rarified air from the throne room of God in heaven. People were weeping as they were Baptized with the Holy Spirit. But the greatest thing about it is the testimonies we have heard about what happened after the service. People at lunch began to cry. People in their homes later received the Baptism. Others began to boldly witness in a way they had not previously done so. And that's really what it is all about isn't it? Not what happens in the "upper room" so much as what happens in the streets afterwards! Amen!
  • Then May 25, a bunch of us, around 8,000 from all over Manila attended the Passion world tour at the Araneta Coliseum with Louis Giglio and Chris Tomlin. Need I say more? It was a wonderful night filled with glory to God! I would have to say that one very interesting thing for me to report is how "the song" that I would say was the big breakthrough song for the night was the Kari Jobe, Revelation Song. It also served as the basis for Louie's sermon intro. To join Chris Tomlin singing that song the way he does with the crowd of intense worshippers was simply awesome!!
  • As soon as I'm done writing this post, we will pack the car up to head to Fontana Resort at Clark (formerly the US Air Force Base in Pampanga) for the Prime Movers (young adults) getaway retreat entitled One Life to Live. I am anticipating an amazing move of God with the result of changed lives, not one of us leaving the way we arrive. If you read this, would you please lift us up in prayer?

Thank you for your readership and for involvement in our lives in prayer and in partnership. May the Lord continue to bless you with His wonderful presence, provision and fulfillment!
