If you want Honey, You must endure the Sting of the Bee
In Midrash teachings in the Torah (specifically Numbers), there is much about bees.. one part particularly speaks of the honey of the bee contrasted with the sting of the bee.
For people who understand and love God's Word, we know that in order to enjoy the honey from the Word, we will get stung by it. The Word hurts us as it changes and heals us developing a life of sweetness.
In order to comfort her sister at the passing of her husband, Israeli songwriter Naomi Shemer wrote the song “Al Kol Eleh”meaning “For all these Things.” It was performed at a celebration of modern Israel turning 70 years old when 12,000 Israeli's who had never sang together before got together and sang it.
